The Insurance Professionals of Middle Georgia (formerly Insurance Women of Macon) was first organized in January of 1959 - with 25 charter members - for the purpose of furthering the professional career advancement of women working in the insurance industry. The membership has grown through the years in numbers as well as knowledge. One of our goals is to gain the interest of insurance professionals throughout Middle Georgia who would like to become members of NAIW and provide support for those who may wish to eventually form their own local association.
The Insurance Professionals of Middle Georgia (IPMG) are dedicated to insurance education and periodically offer CE credits for various seminars and programs, including Ethics Awareness.
NAIW has recently implemented an Instructor Certification Program which will assist in certifying members of local associations to present classes and programs to others.
IPMG is a strong organization that takes an active role in community involvement. Of the many projects we are involved in each year the Sesame Street Safety Program for children in conjunction with the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department is one of our favorites. Our Welfare/Civic Committee works each year involving our members in many local projects that benefit various local charities such as Loaves & Fishes, Salvation Army Safe House, Essay and Poster Contests for the schools and spending time with residents at local nursing homes.
As a member of IPMG, you will also be a part of the National Association of Insurance Women (International) and have the opportunity to attend state, regional and national meetings for networking and educational opportunities; including leadership training. There are many motivational speakers and other insurance professionals from which to learn and look to for support.
There are many reasons to belong - but one of the best is because:
BELONGING IS GOOD BUSINESS!
